We so love working at the various venues in upstate New York, however when we get a call from a couple planning to get married in New York City - we make it happen.
The wedding of Lisa and Will was no exception. I knew from the moment Lisa called in August (yes less than a month prior to the wedding) that I wanted to work on her fabulous wedding. The style, the ideas and the location : Bryant Park Grille, the iconic venue in New York City was a must!
With Will and Lisa living in NYC, I planned on meeting them at the venue, as I so often do with out of town couples and we went over all their ideas and vision for the day. They have incredible taste and we quickly were able finalize all of the concepts. The sticking point was the ceremony. The rooftop was beautiful but the way the aisle was laid out did not create the symmetry they were looking for, so I proposed having the ceremony outside. After some conversation, the couple agreed and they had the most beautiful ceremony on the outdoor patio, surrounded by friends, family, loved ones and about 100 tourists who happened to be strolling through Bryant Park. Lisa looks stunning in her grecian inspired dress and Will so handsome and happy to be marrying his lady.
This autumn wedding was truly wonderful - the tone on tone ivory florals with contrasting foliage and gold vessels and candles was a perfect choice for the venue. We lined the restaurants' fabulous window sills with hundreds of gold votives our, brass candleholders and and antique vases.
The tables had a mix of single compote vase centerpieces and mixed foliage garlands which worked in symphony with the layout of the room and looked spectacular.
And did you see the flowers girls? Weren’t they just adorable!
